Description

Online Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner® (A-CSPO®) Programme — The Middle Path to Senior Product Mastery

Guaranteed to Run — Rolling Intake, Start Any Time. Includes a FREE Certified LeSS Basics course worth £300.

Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO) credential badge from Scrum Alliance

Format: Self-paced mentorship, fully online

Sessions: Fortnightly Thursdays, 5–6pm UK time via Zoom

Duration: 6 weeks to 6 months — you decide (up to 1 year if needed)

Exam: None — certification via demonstrated practice

Prerequisites: You must hold an active CSPO® certification. To receive your A-CSPO® credential, you’ll also need at least 12 months of Product Owner experience logged in your Scrum Alliance profile. You can start the programme before reaching 12 months — just complete the requirement before your final validation.

As a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®), you’re already familiar with the core values, practices, and techniques of effective Product Ownership. You’ve used these skills to generate value and align teams around common goals. The next step is distinguishing yourself as a senior practitioner — and the Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner® (A-CSPO®) is the Scrum Alliance credential that proves it.

At this level, you don’t have time to clear two full days of meetings for a classroom event. Our self-paced mentorship model fits around your actual product work — fortnightly live sessions with two Certified Scrum Trainers, learning applied directly to your real backlog, not a fictional case study. Complete in as little as six weeks or up to six months. You set the pace.

The UK elite charge £1,195+ for two synchronous days (Agile Centre) or £1,250+ (Beliminal). US self-paced rivals like 3Back and Applied Frameworks charge $700–$900 for a closed-loop video library. Our programme sits in the middle — live mentorship with two CSTs, applied to your real work, at £400. And it includes a second certification worth £300.

The Middle Path — Better Than Self-Paced. Better Than a 2-Day Class.

Better than self-paced: US rivals like 3Back ($750) and Applied Frameworks ($699–$899) give you videos and a certification pathway. Our programme gives you fortnightly live sessions with two Certified Scrum Trainers who coach real product teams every week. You bring real challenges from your actual backlog. You get real guidance, not pre-recorded answers.

Better than a 2-day class: Agile Centre charge £1,195 + VAT for two synchronous days. A senior Product Owner managing multiple stakeholders and a live backlog often cannot clear 16 hours in a week. Our rolling fortnightly format meets you where you are — one hour every two weeks, around your actual Sprint cycles. And you get a second certification worth £300 bundled in the price.

How the A-CSPO® Programme Works

Self-Paced Mentorship — Your Product Is the Classroom

This isn’t a course compressed into two days. It’s a rolling mentorship programme designed around the reality of being a working Product Owner. You join at any time and can complete the programme in as little as six weeks or up to six months. We meet fortnightly on Thursdays, 5–6pm UK time via Zoom. Between sessions, the group stays connected via online chat and often arranges additional peer sessions. Our trainers coach product teams in the field more than they train — they’re on this journey with you.

No Exam — You Earn Your Certification Through Practice

There is no exam. During your first mentoring session, we’ll discuss the required self-learning log and set your personal outcomes for certification. As you progress, you’ll apply new techniques directly in your product work, reflect on outcomes, and bring those insights back to the group. You must attend at least four mentoring sessions and demonstrate competency across all learning objectives. The programme takes a minimum of 6 weeks to complete.

Your Learning Log — In Any Format That Works for You

As you progress, you’ll record what you learn in a concise log. The format is entirely yours — written notes, slide decks, video reflections, sketches, whatever helps you communicate that learning. A peer-reviewed reflection session evaluates how the programme has developed your skills. The hope is that everything you practise is something you can repeat with your teams, so your actual product work becomes your proving ground.

Is This Programme Right for You?

This programme is for experienced practitioners who want to advance their product skills and distinguish themselves at a senior level. You must hold an active CSPO® with 12 months of Product Owner experience to be eligible.

Product Owners who want to advance their skills, increase their impact, and formalise their experience with a globally recognised credential.

Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches, Consultants, and Programme Managers who want to deepen their product knowledge in a structured mentorship setting.

HR, L&D, and People professionals who want to develop staff to the next level of Product Ownership without disrupting work schedules.

Anyone who prefers learning by doing over a 2-day classroom event — where real product outcomes matter more than passing a test.

Also Included: Certified LeSS Basics Course (Worth £300)

Certified LeSS Basics (CLB) credential badge

Two Credentials. One Registration.

Your A-CSPO® registration automatically includes the Certified LeSS Basics (CLB) course from the LeSS Company at no extra cost. Learn how to use Scrum for descaling — not just scaling — and add a second globally recognised certification to your profile.

US Product Owners are currently focused on scaling challenges. The LeSS bundle solves their next problem for free — no other A-CSPO provider at this price point includes it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the prerequisites?

You must hold an active CSPO® certification. To receive your A-CSPO® credential, you’ll also need at least 12 months of Product Owner experience logged in your Scrum Alliance profile. You can start attending sessions before reaching 12 months — just complete the experience requirement before your final validation.

Is there an exam?

No. Certification is earned by completing the programme requirements: attending at least four mentoring sessions, completing your self-learning log, and having it peer-reviewed. Your trainers look for evidence that you can apply what you’ve learned with a real product team.

When can I start, and how long do I have to complete the programme?

You can start immediately after registering. If you see a programme “start” date on the Scrum Alliance website, those are marker dates only — how their system works. You have one year to complete the programme and you go at your own pace. Most people finish in six weeks to six months depending on availability.

How many people will be in the group?

Because the programme runs on a rolling basis, numbers vary from session to session. We deliberately keep groups small so everyone gets meaningful coaching time and space to discuss real product challenges.

Are the sessions recorded?

No. Sessions are not recorded. Because the programme runs fortnightly on a rolling basis, if you miss a session you can simply attend the next one. You have up to one year to complete, so missing a session won’t hold you back. You must attend a minimum of four sessions to complete the programme.

What software do I need?

A laptop or PC with a stable internet connection, webcam, and microphone. Sessions are delivered via Zoom. Full details of any additional tools will be sent with your joining instructions.

Can I take a break if something comes up?

Yes. Life happens. You can pause and resume as needed within the one-year window. Just let us know and we’ll pick back up whenever you’re ready.

What’s the best way to approach the learning log?

Treat it as a learning experience woven into your real product work. The format is entirely yours — written notes, slide decks, video reflections, sketches, whatever helps you communicate that learning. The hope is that everything you practise in this programme is something you can repeat with your teams, so your actual work becomes your proving ground.

Can my employer pay, or can I get an invoice?

Yes. Select “Pay by Bank Transfer” at checkout and an invoice will be generated automatically. Payment must be received before joining instructions are sent. For larger corporate bookings or bespoke requirements, please contact us at talk@agileaffinity.com.

What if I have another question?

We’re happy to help. Email us at talk@agileaffinity.com and we’ll get back to you quickly.

To pay in another currency, select your location at the top right of the website. UK-based buyers must pay in GBP.
