Our Agile Coaching for Impact: ICF Level 1 Program meets all ICF ACC educational requirements as part of the Level 1 Training Program. Upon program completion, you will have fulfilled the ICF ACC’s coach-specific training requirements, including 60 hours of education, mentor coaching, and performance evaluation.

To achieve the full ICF ACC credential, you’ll also need to:

  • Complete 100 hours of documented coaching experience.

Our Agile Coaching for Impact: ICF Level 1 Program is designed with adaptability in mind. The modular setup ensures that every participant can start when ready, choose their learning path, and revisit any session to reinforce their skills.

The certification journey begins with self-paced learning and continues through a rolling calendar of interactive sessions.

  • Agile Coaching Development Sessions: Monthly, instructor-led, on Thursdays, 5–7 PM UK Time.
  • Practical Coaching Labs: Fortnightly hands-on labs, with times chosen by your group (recommended Thursdays, 5–7 PM UK Time).
  • Group Wisdom Sessions: Monthly collaborative learning and peer feedback sessions on Thursdays, 5–7 PM UK Time.
  • Individual Mentoring: Three one-on-one sessions to cement your learning and support your ICF journey.

Learn by Doing!

Unlike traditional classroom-based learning, this program is designed to help you apply new skills and techniques directly in your day-to-day work as an Agile coach or Scrum Master.

Through a mix of practical labs, mentoring, and self-reflection, you’ll continuously reinforce your learning in real-time with real teams.

Each session is led by experienced, practicing coaches who guide and support you through real-world application of ICF core competencies and Agile coaching practices.

Throughout your coaching journey, you’ll work toward demonstrating the ICF core competencies in a way that’s relevant, contextual, and reflective of your style and growth.

The program includes three mentor coaching sessions and a final performance evaluation to assess your readiness for the ICF ACC credential.

In addition to structured sessions, you’ll keep a log of your coaching activities and reflect using the Agile Coaching Growth Wheel. We’ll provide you with a simple template and guide for this reflection and development process.

Once complete, our certified mentors will review your performance, offer personalised feedback, and ensure you are fully prepared to submit your ICF application with confidence.

Prerequisites

To ensure all participants get the most from this program, at least one of the following is required:

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or ICAgile Agile Fundamentals (ICP)
  • ICAgile Business Agility Foundations or equivalent practical experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach

Rickard Jones

Rickard has over 20 years of professional services experience, including roles as an Agile coach, trainer, and program lead. With an Agile mindset, values, principles, and practices, he has collaborated with many organizations, teams, and individuals to support them on their complex journey to becoming Agile. He goes where the value need is, having previously been an XP developer, program manager, change manager, development manager, Scrum Master, and transformation lead. Despite an unhealthy obsession with learning, he believes nothing beats a coaching journey of in-the-field practical experience. Rickard is not only one of the authors of the AgileHR Manifesto but also an international conference speaker, Enterprise Agile Coach, Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), Certified Team Coach, Program Lead, Online Remote Facilitator, LeSS Trainer and ICAgile Trainer.

John is passionate about helping individuals, teams, and organisations reach their full potential. With a military background and experience coaching in various industries, John has developed a unique coaching style that combines the principles of business agility with other coaching approaches. FAQ

Will I earn the ICF ACC certification through this program alone?

This program provides all 60 hours of required education, mentor coaching, and evaluations for ICF’s ACC standards. To achieve ACC, outside of this program, you must complete 100 hours of documented coaching experience, apply on the ICF website, and pass the Credentialing Exam. These are standard requirements for all ICF Level 1 pathways.

When do the sessions begin, and can I start anytime?

Once we have four confirmed participants, the formal development sessions will begin. At that point, payment will be requested. You can begin the self-paced section right away, so you're already preparing while we wait to schedule live sessions.

What if I miss a session?

No problem! You can make up the session in a future cohort or during a later run of that topic. We've designed the program with flexibility in mind.

Do I need to pay VAT if I live outside the UK?

No. If you're outside the UK, VAT will not be charged. Just select your region when booking and the system will calculate the correct amount.

What equipment do I need?

You'll need a computer with video and microphone access, plus internet and access to Zoom, Mural, and Google Docs. We'll give you all the instructions before your first session.

Is English required for the course?

Yes, all learning materials, mentoring, and evaluations are delivered in English. You should feel comfortable speaking and writing in English for the best experience.
