Description

Online Certified Scrum Professional ScrumMaster® (CSP-SM®) Programme — Self-Paced Mentorship for Senior ScrumMasters

Guaranteed to Run — Rolling Intake, Start Any Time. Includes a FREE Certified LeSS Basics course worth £300.

Certified Scrum Professional ScrumMaster (CSP-SM) credential badge from Scrum Alliance

Format: Self-paced mentorship, fully online

Sessions: Fortnightly Thursdays, 5–6pm UK time via Zoom

Duration: 6 weeks to 6 months — you decide (up to 1 year if needed)

Exam: None — certification via demonstrated practice

Prerequisites: You must hold an active A-CSM® certification and have at least 24 months of ScrumMaster experience recorded in your Scrum Alliance profile before you can receive the CSP-SM® certification. Not there yet? View our A-CSM® programme →

You’re an Advanced Certified ScrumMaster® (A-CSM®), experienced in Scrum values, practices, and applications. You’ve coached people, teams, and organisations to generate value through adaptive solutions. Now it’s time to distinguish yourself as a world-leading ScrumMaster — and the Certified Scrum Professional ScrumMaster® (CSP-SM®) is how you prove it.

At this level, you don’t have time to clear two full days of meetings for a classroom event. Our self-paced mentorship model fits around your actual job — you learn by doing real work with your real teams, supported by fortnightly live sessions with two Certified Scrum Trainers. Complete in as little as six weeks or up to six months. You set the pace.

Live competitors like Growing Scrum Masters charge £995 + VAT for two full classroom days. US providers like Hyperdrive charge $995–$1,095 with no self-paced option. Our live mentorship model delivers the same Scrum Alliance credential — with more genuine practitioner interaction — at a fraction of the cost, and includes a second certification worth £300 in the price.

Why This CSP-SM® Programme Is Different

No 2-day classroom. No taking time off work. Senior ScrumMasters managing multiple teams or enterprise programmes simply cannot clear 16 hours of calendar in a week. Our rolling fortnightly format meets you where you are — one hour every two weeks, around your actual Sprint cycles and leadership commitments.

Not a video library. A live mentorship with two CSTs. Self-paced rivals like 3Back offer AI-guided pathways through pre-recorded content. Our programme includes fortnightly live sessions with Rickard Jones and John Barratt — two Certified Scrum Trainers with 40+ years of combined experience and named enterprise results. You bring real challenges. You get real guidance.

How the CSP-SM® Programme Works

Self-Paced Mentorship — Your Workplace Is the Classroom

This is a rolling mentorship programme, not a classroom course. You join at any time and can complete in as little as six weeks or up to six months — you decide. We meet fortnightly on Thursdays, 5–6pm UK time via Zoom. Between sessions, the group stays connected via online chat and often arranges additional peer sessions. Our trainers coach in the field more than they train — they’re on this journey with you.

No Exam — You Earn Your Certification Through Practice

There is no exam. During your first mentoring session, we’ll review the Agile Coaching Growth Wheel, discuss the required self-learning log, and agree your personal outcomes. You can then attend a combination of community events, peer workshops, and mentoring sessions while completing the validation log. You must attend at least four mentoring sessions and demonstrate competency across all learning objectives. The programme takes a minimum of 6 weeks to complete.

Your Learning Log — In Any Format That Works for You

As you progress, you’ll record what you learn in a concise log. The format is entirely yours — written notes, slide decks, video reflections, sketches, whatever helps you communicate that learning. Once complete and peer-reviewed, we’ll spend time with you reflecting on the difference the programme has made, revisiting your updated Agile Coaching Growth Wheel and the outcomes you agreed at the start.

Is This Programme Right for You?

This programme is for experienced practitioners who want to grow their skill set and distinguish themselves at a senior level. You must hold an active A-CSM® with 24 months of ScrumMaster experience to be eligible.

Senior ScrumMasters who want to deepen their practice and achieve the highest ScrumMaster certification the Scrum Alliance offers.

Agile Coaches, Consultants, and Programme Managers who want to formalise their advanced Scrum knowledge with a globally recognised credential.

HR, L&D, and People professionals who want to develop staff to senior ScrumMaster level without disrupting work schedules.

Technical leaders and facilitators building on their CSM® and A-CSM® certifications to progress into organisational influence and systemic change.

What We Cover

The CSP-SM® programme develops the advanced skills and systemic thinking required to lead at the highest level of ScrumMastery. Topics covered throughout the programme include:

Advanced servant leadership — moving beyond facilitation into coaching and organisational influence.

Coaching and mentoring techniques — developing other ScrumMasters and building internal agile capability.

Complex Scrum environments — working across multiple teams, scaling, descaling, and systemic thinking.

Organisational impediment removal — identifying and removing blockers at system level, not just within Sprints.

Communities of practice — building and sustaining agile communities that outlast any single programme.

Agile Coaching Growth Wheel — used as a self-assessment and personal development framework throughout the programme.

The Agile Coaching Growth Wheel — used throughout the programme for self-assessment and personal development

The Agile Coaching Growth Wheel — we use this to map your starting point and track your growth throughout the programme.

Also Included: Certified LeSS Basics Course (Worth £300)

Certified LeSS Basics (CLB) credential badge

Two Credentials. One Registration.

Your CSP-SM® registration automatically includes the Certified LeSS Basics (CLB) course from the LeSS Company at no extra cost. Learn how to use Scrum for descaling — not just scaling — and add a second globally recognised certification to your profile.

No other CSP-SM® provider at this price point includes a second certification. This is the tie-breaker.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the prerequisites?

You must hold an active A-CSM® certification and have at least 24 months of ScrumMaster experience recorded in your Scrum Alliance profile before you can receive the CSP-SM®. You can start attending sessions before reaching 24 months — just complete the experience requirement before your final validation.

Is there an exam?

No. Certification is earned by completing the programme requirements: attending at least four mentoring sessions, completing your self-learning log, and having it peer-reviewed. Your trainers look for evidence that you can apply what you’ve learned with a real Scrum team.

What’s the best way to approach the learning log?

Treat it as a learning experience woven into your real work. The format is entirely yours — written notes, slide decks, video reflections, sketches, whatever helps you communicate that learning. The hope is that everything in this programme is something you can repeat with your teams, so your actual work becomes your proving ground.

How many people will I be working with?

Because the programme is rolling, the active group size varies — but we deliberately keep it small so every session is a real discussion, not a webinar. You’ll know the other practitioners by name and work with a consistent group through your fortnightly sessions.

Are the sessions recorded?

No. Sessions are not recorded. If you miss a session, the fortnightly rolling format means you simply attend the next one — you won’t lose progress. You must attend a minimum of four sessions overall to complete the programme.

What software do I need?

A laptop or PC with a stable internet connection, webcam, and microphone. Sessions are delivered via Zoom. Full details of any additional tools will be sent with your joining instructions.

When can I start, and how long do I have to complete the programme?

You can start immediately after registering — there’s no waiting for a start date. If you see a programme “start” date on the Scrum Alliance website, those are marker dates only. You have one year to complete the programme. Most people finish in six weeks to six months depending on their pace and availability.

Can I take a break if something comes up?

Yes — take breaks as needed. Life happens. The rolling format means you can step back and pick up again with the active group when you’re ready, without losing any progress. You have a full year from registration to complete.

Can my employer pay, or can I get an invoice?

Yes. Select “Pay by Bank Transfer” at checkout and an invoice will be generated automatically. Payment must be received before joining instructions are sent. For larger corporate bookings or bespoke requirements, please contact us at talk@agileaffinity.com.

What if I have another question?

We’re happy to help. Email us at talk@agileaffinity.com and we’ll get back to you quickly.
